Geological Prospecting Geological prospecting is a task, which requires dispatching professional teams to remote areas. Such missions are particularly challenging for Canada and for Alberta, as well as for African countries, Australia, and some other countries. At the same time some methods, which are already used for exploring the geological composition of the surface of asteroids and other planets can also be used closer to home. The UAV alrready can carry a laser, which can emit strong enough pulses to cut metal on the ground. The similar laser that aims at the rocks under the UAV will trigger a small, but noticeable flash on the ground. Detecting and analysing the spectra of such flash will provide the information about the composition of the probed rocks or eve soils. Such a probing is limited to identification of the surface composition of the rocks only. Nevertheless carrying on such a UAV probing can greatly accelerate geological prospecting, and make it more targeted and effective.
